Abstract:
The importance to act now to meet REACH requirements cannot be over emphasized. REACH is business critical, whether you are a manufacturer, importer, or user of chemicals!!! And the only way to educate yourself and your company is to digest the relevant paper work, seek advice where and consult experts like Atrion International.
One of the short-term impacts of REACH on the supply chain is an increased communication between the various actors (suppliers, customers, government) on the (pre-) registration status substances ('will it stay or will it go?') and on the (downstream) use of the substances. This communication requirement under REACH also poses some IT challenges as REACH demands that a company ensures 'consistency' of substance information along the entire supply chain, all of which must be adequately documented.
Managing the full blend of regulatory and supply chain driven business requirements emerging from REACH, starts with a well thought through "REACH IT" plan.

ü Highlight guidelines to develop proper strategic alignment
